Wireless, Voice & Data Backhaul

Wireless broadband point to point connectivity provides flexible, low cost alternatives for cellular and WI-FI hotspot backhaul at distances up to 40 miles (65Kms) at data up to 1 Gbps (depending on frequency, distance, antennas, etc.).

The explosive growth of WI-Fi hotspots has created a tremendous need for reliable, cost effective data backhaul. Cellular carriers are also increasing using long-range wireless broadband as a means to deliver voice and data back to their network gateways.

Wireless backhaul solutions are high speed, point to point broadband connections between two buildings or towers with ranges of up to 40 miles (65Kms) and data throughput from 2Mbps to 1 Gbps (depending on frequency, distance, antennas, etc). These are typical done line of sight (LOS) to maximize the effectiveness of these networks and can be used in conjunction with other point to multi-point equipment to deliver a complete solution.

Highly reliable and secure solutions in both licensed and unlicensed frequencies are available at a fraction of the cost of fiber and leased T1s. Most costs of replacing an E1/T1 are recovered in the first year and eliminate on-going monthly operating costs of other alternatives.

The advantages of wireless broadband backhaul solutions include:

  • Ability to transmit high amounts of data at a fraction of the cost of traditional wired services.
  • Easily scalable as network requirements grow.
  • Provides backup/redundancy for existing networks.
  • Available in both licensed and un-licensed frequencies.

Typical applications for wireless backhaul include:

  • Voice & data for cellular back to PBX /switches
  • Wi-Fi Hotspot backhaul back to IP gateways
